Our long holiday weekend was wonderful! It sure was hard to come back to work today though. The weekend started for us on Wednesday. I got to go help my mom and Hailee bake pies (which btw, my mom makes the BEST pies EVER! If you've never had a Michele Parry pie you're missing out BIG time!) and get all the food ready for Thursday while Cody slept (he worked a 35hr. shift Tues-Wed) so he was pretty pooped. Thursday morning while I enjoyed sleeping in and watching the Thanksgiving Macy Days parade (I never miss a year!) Cody and some of his cousins went out duck hunting. They didn't have much luck but I know they had lots of fun!! Once Cody was home we got ready and headed out to my moms for dinner with my family this year. It was Code and I, my brother Jed and his family, my brother Jordan and his family, Hailee, Tanner and my mom. The food was absolutely delish, my mom is thee best cook in the world and the company was even better! I LOVE my family :) After dinner, some football games and LOTS of chit-chatting we were off to Codys sister Amies for pie and to visit with his family. I swear every year I am NOT going to do any black Friday shopping and since I'm about done I didn't really need anything but I went out anyways! I'm so glad I did! I finished picking up the little random things on my list and now all I need to do is start WRAPPING! My least favorite part. Lucky for us, Hailee had a tournament at SLCC Friday and Saturday so Friday my mom, Grandma and I went to watch her play while Cody and his buddy Carter used my last home game tickets for the Utes. I was sooo sad to miss it but I couldn't have missed Hailees game (especially since they won 76-54 and Hai had 12 points and a really great game, she's awesome)! After her game the 4 of us went to see Breaking Dawn for the SECOND time (Hailees first) and yep, still LOVED it! Saturday, Cody went duck hunting again with Carter and then he got to come with me, my mom and Tanner for Hais last game in the tournament. They lost :( but it's still pre-season so there will be MANY more games to play! Saturday night Cody and I got to enjoy a little date night that HE planned :) we had SO much fun. Love him! It was a perfect weekend! Could've lasted a little longer though...
Happy Thanksgiving!
My cute nieces in the "girls clubhouse". They are so funny, they told me I could join them but NO BOYS ALLOWED!! Chloe, Bella and Graci Mae.
Hailee and her best friends who got to come watch her play since they were all home for Thanksgiving.***************************
I did jump the gun this year with my Christmas decorations. Mainly because I didn't want to have to do them over the Thanksgiving weekend. I'm SO glad I put them up early so I could be lazy and enjoy our long weekend. Totally worth it!

This steel tree is my FAV, we bought it a few years ago at a benefit for my sweet cousin who was battling cancer. This picture doesn't do it justice though.. it's beautiful!
Our stockings are hung...
And our fun tree. I call it my "who" tree because it totally reminds me of Dr. Seuss. Love it. Now I just need to wrap and get those presents under the tree! I've got a feeling with all the fun festivities we have planned for December and all the parties, it's just going to fly by so we need to try to slow down enough to enjoy it. Happy Holidays!!!
Not to mention.. we are beyond EXCITED that we'll FINALLY be getting an NBA season! The Gift house sure can't wait for Dec 25th for Christmas/NBA starting! Yay!!!! :) It's about dang time!

Glad you guys had a wonderful thanksgiving and long weekend!! Very CUTE pics!
Ok, so I'll tell Jake about going hunting and then i'll text ya and we can have them decide a date and then we can hang out too.. sound like a plan?!!! Your tree is SO CUTE. Mine is lame and I suck at decorating it (ok maybe because I have stupid decorations, lol!) Love ya dear!
It sounds like you had a perfect Thanksgiving weekend. I might have to hit your mom up about trying some of her pies sometimes since I see her on Thursdays every so often. And I love your tree. Your decorations are so cute.
