FuN wEeKeNd & ChRiStMaS pArTy!

Oh what a fun weekend we had! We sure stay pretty busy these days. Friday I got to spend some time with my mom and my sister in law Amber. We went to lunch and went shopping, I'm just about done with all this Christmas stuff! That night we had a fun game night with some friends and neighbors of ours. We are trying to make it a tradition so we'll see how long we last :) Saturday Cody had to work for a while so I spent the day doing a few hair appointments at home and just kind of lounging around in my pj's, it was nice to relax for a change. Saturday night our sweet little niece had a Christmas program at the Ogden Ice Sheet. Morgan is a cute little ice skater and let me tell ya.. this girl is awesome! She was just too cute and I'm sure she can skate circles around any of us.. we are SO proud of you Morgan.. you sure did a GREAT job!


Here's the little ice skater! After her show we grabbed some dinner at Cafe Rio.. mmm.. and went home and watched movies. Sunday Cody was supposed to work but due to the snow they called it off so we slept in. It's such a rare thing for us anymore! It was Cody's moms side of the family Christmas party that night so later in the day we drove down to Salt Lake for the fun! He has such a big family, it's always so fun to get with everyone! Santa even came and you should have seen those cute kids.. they were SO dang excited!

OuR lOnG wEeKeNd!

It was so nice to have such a long weekend.. we had a great one! Thursday of course was Thanksgiving. This year we ate at my moms, it was fun! It was only us and Jed and Tara's family and after dinner we all layed out in the living room and watched the Proposal.. we LOVE that show! Dinner was so good, my mom went all out! Later that day we went out to Cody's moms to visit and go through all the Black Friday ads. I had no intention on going anywhere Friday in the beginning but after I found what I wanted to get Cody for such a good deal I was prepared for an all nighter. I ended up looking online and found the item for the same price so I actually bought it Thursday night then realized the next day I would have to drive to PARK CITY to pick it up! Oh man.. he better love me :) Friday we spent all day putting our tree and all our Christmas decorations up. Everything turned out so cute and we already have presents under the tree! That night I had a girls night with some girls from work and oh what a good time we had! Saturday morning I made my mom and Hailee take the dreaded drive to Park City with me.. we were lucky to even make it there with my mad driving skills ha ha! It was so fun to spend the morning together! Later Cody picked up some wings from Wingers and we invited Cait and Mike over for the big game! Well.. like I said someone at our house would be sad Saturday night and this year... it was me. It really was a good game though and I'm just excited for the next three years with our new QB. He looked really good! It's probably a good thing BYU won cause I'm a better loser than Cody is and we had Jazz tickets for that night. We got lower bowl seats from my brother Jed and they were AMAZING! We had the best view and it was so fun to sit so low for a change :) After that we were pretty much lazy the rest of the weekend and it was nice. I'm glad the weather was good too.. Cody actually went golfing twice this weekend! Now back to reality.. and the gym.. since I have eaten way way to much food! Hope everyone had a good one!

Dear Jacob Black.. I LOVE you! Well.. I went to see New Moon last Thursday and I have to say I definitely liked it better than the first one! I told you all I had switched teams and I am officially Team Jacob now. No doubt. I have to admit I feel a little weird being so in love with this.. teenage boy? I don't know how old he is but I don't really care.. love him anyways :) I am going to try my hardest to drag Cody to see it with me again.. hmmm we'll see if that happens! We have been so dang busy lately.. I need more time in my day! Friday night I went to a fun little party at my friend Mandys house and bought some cute stuff for myself and for Christmas. I'm proud to say I have LOTS of shopping done already.. ya! Every year I tell myself I am not going to go shopping on Black Friday because there is nothing I need that bad but once again I found something I really want to get Cody so it looks like I will be out and about at 4 am Friday.. boo. Saturday was an eventful day. I went to the last home football game at Utah. It was absolutley freezing but worth it cause they kicked butt! After the game I met Cody at the Sky box for dinner then we headed over to ESA for the Jazz-Pistons game. I won the tickets in my last staff meeting at work and it ended up going into overtime where the Jazz won! Yesterday was the big MLS championship and Real Salt Lake won in a shootout.. we were so excited at our house! Wow, I have just talked way too much about sports, Cody would be proud! We are so excited for Thanksgiving, love food ha ha! Hope everyone has a great one and be safe for all of you who will be braving the crowds on Friday! Christmas is in the air!

NEW MOON!

I am so excited for Thursday I can't even tell you! I have been counting down the days. We are going to the 7 pm showing on Thursday, which is good because I have a really hard time staying awake at a movie past 9 pm, so the midnight showing is definitely out of the question! Oh I feel so old sometimes! I'm SO SO excited for it though!

On the other hand.. I don't know about the rest of you but I think I have OFFICIALLY switched teams! Mmmm.. Jacob :) I am retiring my Team Edward shirt and hoping to find a Team Jacob one by Thursday!

hArD wOrK pAyS oFf!

I just wanted to post about how lucky I am to have such a sweet husband who is so successful and who works so hard for us. He is the youngest person on his job who does what he does by about 10 years but that has never stopped him from working hard and doing all he can to prove himself. Besides Vegas I can't remember the last time he didn't work all week and on the weekends. No day off. Me... I couldn't do it but he never even complains. Never. I just want him to know how proud of him I am. He makes our life so easy and I love him so much for it. He just got a promotion about a month ago so I know that his hard work is not going unnoticed. I love you Cody! Thank you for all you do for our little family!

It was nice this weekend to kind of slow down a little bit and relax after last weekend. Friday night Cody and I just went out with some friends (and neighbors) of ours and Saturday Cody worked all day so I spent the day shopping and with my fam. Me, my mom, and Hailee went and saw Michael Jackson's "This is it" and let me just say.. it was AMAZING! I have a whole new respect for the king of pop now and it made me way sad to know he's gone and it's over. I literally had chills the whole movie.. and right after, of course, we had to go buy the soundtrack to the movie. If you haven't seen it.. GO!

Mindy, Chad, me and Code (bad lighting) Saturday after the movie and shopping I got to hang out at my moms until Cody got off and watch the Utah game and spend some time with my brother and his family. My niece Graci is the CUTEST little girl ever and she has the curliest hair I have ever seen! You would never know it but it's actually really long. Jed was combing it out.. check out that fro!

Ha ha ha! This makes me laugh so hard! I love this little girl! On a side note is it really November already? Time to start Christmas shopping!? Gross!

..VeGaS..

Well everyone.. we survived Halloween in Las Vegas! It was a short trip but SO much fun! We drove down Friday, got there around 5 and checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Stratosphere, we have never stayed there before and it was actually pretty cool. We got ready for the night and went and had a really nice dinner and just hung around the Casino and gambled a little. Saturday morning we got up and ready and hit the strip. We pretty much walked everywhere and anywhere.. we did a little shopping and went to see Paranormal Activity (which I have to say was the DUMBEST movie ever.. not scary at all!) The weather was PERFECT! Even a little warm.. it was so nice to be out of Utah for the weekend. After the movie we went back to the hotel to start getting ready for the night..

We LOVE the water show at the Bellagio! After we were all ready in our costumes we grabbed a cab and were off for the night. We started by going to the Criss Angel show. His TV show is way cooler but it was still really really cool and he is even cuter in person.. ahhh... I love me some Criss Angel! It was a perfect way to start the night. Caitlin and I were given VIP passes to a really cool, old school club called The Cat House in the hotel so we went there for a while after the show. After that we went to Fremont St. It's one of our favorite places in Vegas and Caitlin had never been before. We walked around a bit and if you think there are some interesting people in Vegas try going on Halloween.. it was CRAZY! Next we went to Circus Circus, they turn the whole place into one huge haunted house with mazes and rides and everything. It was kind of expensive but worth it! The Haunted houses there are WAY better than any we've been to here. Our last stop before going back to our hotel was Coyote Ugly. The minute we walked in the girl on stage pointed me out and told me to come get on the bar so me and Cait went on and danced for a while.. it was such an experience! It was such a fast weekend but so fun and I'm glad we got to be there for Halloween this year. It was nice to get home though!
